Dear Parents and Students,
As the dance season comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for a wonderful year. Students have been working extremely hard for our upcoming annual performance just over 3 weeks away. Excellent job everyone!!! Please make sure you have everything you need. Listed below is some important performance information. Please read this information carefully to help us run a smooth and efficient rehearsal week. PICTURE DAY - SUNDAY, JUNE 5th at the studio: Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time in full costume and make up. If for some reason you cannot attend, please be sure to let your instructor know or email Heather. The Picture Day schedule and costume guidelines can be found on the website with the Photography Package pricing and order form (these will also be available at the studio on Picture Day).
*THE SHOW ORDER WILL BE RELEASED AFTER PICTURE DAY – The schedule will be tentative since it may need to be adjusted a few times before the show if there are back to back conflicts, but the numbers listed to perform in Act I and Act II will most likely stay the same.
REHEARSAL/AWARDS/PERFORMANCE INFORMATION: Monday, June 20thwill be our last day of regular scheduled classes. The rest of the week will consist of In-house Rehearsals and Dress Rehearsal.
In-house Rehearsals will take place at Gotta Dance. You do not need to wear your costumes to In-house Rehearsals. Dress as you would for a dance class and bring all your dance shoes.
In-house Rehearsal - Tuesday, June 21st for Act I, 5:00-7:30 pm. On this night, we will run the Children's Finale first. Dancers may leave after their routine has been rehearsed. Students ages 9+ who are in Act I can arrive at 5:30 pm on this day unless you are a volunteer or assistant.
In-house Rehearsal - Wednesday, June 22nd for Act II, 6:00-8:30 pm. We will run the Finale first and then Dancers may leave after their routine has been rehearsed.
Dress Rehearsal – Thursday, June 23rd: 4:30-7:00 pm for Act I; 7:00-7:30 pm Awards – 3 yr., 5 yr, 7yr, 10 yr, 10+ yrs., and Seniors (as a reminder, due to our Covid guidelines and extra health and safety precautions over this past dance season, we will not be handing out perfect attendance awards this year). Act II will go from 7:30-10:00 pm. Dress Rehearsal will take place at the Collins Center at Andover High School. Full costume, hair, and make-up is required. We will run the finales first at the top of Act I & II at dress rehearsal so that dancers may leave after they run their routine (or final routine if in more than one). All students in Act I should arrive no later than 4:15 pmfor a 4:30 pm start time.All students in Act II should arrive no later than 7:00 pm in first costume for a quick awards ceremony and a 7:30 pm start time.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR DRESS REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE AUDITORIUM DURING DRESS REHEARSAL AT 4:00 PM FOR A SHORT MEETING AND TO RECEIVE YOUR VOLUNTEER RIBBON.
Volunteer room assignments will be sent out in a separate email from Heather before Dress Rehearsal.
Performance, Saturday, June 25th at 2:00 pm: Call time for all dancers is 1:00 pm. Children under age 7 can arrive no later than 1:30 pm. The performance will begin at 2:00 pm. Students over age 7 should meet on stage at 1:30 pm sharp for a short group warm up. All students should arrive with full make-up and hair complete in your first costume. Please be sure not to be seen in the lobby or in the auditorium wearing your costume. A long shirt or cover up is required. PLEASE REMEMBER: AT DRESS REHEARSAL all costume alterations need to be completed and wrinkle free, tags removed, shoes painted (if applicable), ABSOLUTLEY NO nylon stockings instead of tights, no shimmery tights (shiny), undergarments, gum chewing, nail polish or jewelry. Hair should be tightly fastened so hairpieces will not fall out and full stage make up should be applied prior to rehearsal. Everyone should appear on stage exactly as they will the day of the performance. If everyone follows these guidelines, dress rehearsal will run quickly and smoothly. Also, any pre-ordered T-shirts that have not already been received will be available for pick up at thistime.
A Recital Check List has been provided below for your convenience:

*FEMALES ONLY* will be allowed backstage and in the changing areas. Male dancers will be notified of where they can wait before their number is ready to perform. All children must be signed in and signed out. Once you drop your child off in the dressing rooms, they will remain there until the end of the performance. Children ages 7 and under who are not in Act II will be dismissed to a parent during intermission and they may go to the back of the auditorium and watch the rest of the show unless they have purchased a seat. ONLY Volunteers and parents of children in more than one number will be allowed back stage before intermission. You must have a Backstage Pass or a Volunteer Ribbon to enter this area once you have dropped your child off. These will not be handed out the day of the show.
PICK UP/FINALE: Dancers in Act I only may be picked up at intermission if they will not be participating in the end of the show finale or if they will be watching the rest of the show. We will hold all dancers on stage after the Act I children's finale. After the curtain closes, parents/guardians should go to the right side inside the auditorium and your dancer will be released to you from the stage. Dancers in Act I picked up at intermission may go to the back of the auditorium to watch the rest of the show with a parent and if they would like to participate in the Act II finale, they must be backstage at least 5 numbers before the end of the show.
***Videotaping and flash photography is prohibited in the auditorium at any time. A full performance video link will be emailed to those families who paid the recital video fee a few weeks after the performance.
RECITAL TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE AND CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE DOOR ON PERFORMANCE DAY – TICKETS WILL BE $24.00 each.

*UNLIMITED TUITION INCREASE FOR 2022/2023. For the upcoming 2022/2023 dance season, we are updating our tuition for unlimited classes only. The new pricing is as follows:
$165.00 PER PERSON PER MONTH
$245.00 FAMILY RATE FOR 2 FAMILY MEMBERS
$295.00 FAMILY RATE FOR 3+ FAMILY MEMBERS
(*excludes Competition Team Fees)
Tuition and discounts for all other classes, including Dance Team classes, will remain the same for the upcoming season.

Please register early - some classes are full and others are filling up quickly.
REMINDER: Your annual tuition is broken up into 10 monthly payments. Your last tuition payment is due no later than Saturday, June 11th. Please make sure that all tuition is paid in full before the performance.
