Dear Parents and Students,

Please read the following information containing important dates and details for our upcoming events.

*The times listed may be tentative and could change based on State of MA Covid guidelines.

*IMPORTANT NOTE:  The Collins Center has given permission for us to have our annual performance following the State of MA guidelines for indoor performance venues and as of now, masks will be optional.

Ticket DaySunday, May 1st from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the studio

Picture DaySunday, June 5th at the studio (scheduled times for each class will be released in May) 

In-House Rehearsal Tuesday, June 21st  for Act 1: 5:00 – 7:30 pm at the studio(students may leave after their numbers have rehearsed)

In-House RehearsalWednesday, June 22nd  for Act II: 5:30 – 8:30 pm at the studio(students may leave after their numbers have rehearsed)

Dress Rehearsal at Collins Center, Andover, MA – Thursday, June 23rd – 4:30 – 10:00 pm (students may leave after their numbers have rehearsed)

Recital Performance at Collins Center, Andover, MA - Saturday June 25thstarting at 2:00 pm.  The show order for each Act will be released in May.  

TICKET DAY: Sunday, May 1st - Doors will open at 10:00 am and close at 2:00 pm. Please expect long lines for the first half of the day. Tickets are sold at the studio. Tickets are $22.00 each or $24.00 at the door.  There is a 15-ticket maximum per family. At this time, seats will be selected on a first come first serve basis. If you may need more than the maximum, your name will be placed on a waiting list in order of your arrival. Once everyone has received their tickets, you will be contacted of any remaining tickets. ALL PURCHASED TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Tickets MAY NOT be purchased for any other dancer other than your own. It is not fair to those who stand in line for tickets to have one family purchase tickets for another as well as their own.  If you cannot physically attend Ticket Day, you may either send someone to stand in line for you or you can leave a check before ticket day in the tuition box with the number of tickets you are purchasing written in the memo. Ticket orders must be for your dancer ONLY.  Thank you for your understanding.

Gotta Dance accepts cash or check. Sorry, no credit cards for recital tickets. At this time, we will also be taking recital T-shirt orders for our annual performance (this includes each student's name printed on the back)($22-$25), orders for program ads to send a message to your special dancer a message or to advertise a business ($8-$22), and Summer and Fall registrations. Please make all checks payable to Karrie Mason. Tickets must be paid for with a separate check. All other purchases can be combined. Please be sure that your account is up to date by this day. 

PICTURE DAY: Sunday, June 5th - Everyone is expected to participate in group photos to help us add to our display each year. Individual photos will also be taken during this time if you plan to purchase them. Students should arrive 5 minutes prior to their scheduled time in full costume and make up. All alterations, accessories, painted shoes (if applicable), etc., must be completed by this time. If students have more than one costume, please arrive in your first costume and bring the others on hangers if you do not have time to go home to change in between. There is limited changing space at the studio. Students/parents bringing additional costumes on hangers must remain in the changing area. Parents are asked to wait in the waiting room as there is not enough room for students and parents in the studio area and it is very distracting to the child and photographer.  Scheduled times for these photo shoots, order forms, and costume instructions will be enclosed with the May newsletter. Please have order forms filled out in advance. If you cannot attend Picture Day, we ask that you please let your Instructor know.

IN-HOUSE REHEARSALS: In-house rehearsals will take place at Gotta Dance on June 21st and 22nd.  A list of the show order for each Act will be distributed at the end of May. Costumes will not be needed for in-house rehearsals. Please be on time as the Finale for each Act will be rehearsed first. Once your dancer rehearses all of their numbers, they may leave.

DRESS REHEARSAL: Dress rehearsal will take place at the Collins Center at Andover High School in Andover, MA on Thursday, June 23rd – Act I from 5:00 – 7:00 pm and Act II from 7:30 – 10:00 pm. Awards for 3, 5, 7, 10 + year recognition will take place from 7:00-7:30 pm.  Dancers in Act I should arrive by 4:30 pm. If a dancer is only in Act II and is not receiving any awards, you may arrive at 7:00 pm. All students must wear entire costume and stage makeup. All alterations should be completed before dress rehearsal to prevent us from stopping the rehearsal. Students should appear on stage exactly how they will appear for the performance. Dressing roomvolunteers are always needed. We would like to have at least one parent from each class. Anyone volunteering must be available during dress rehearsals and the performances and will still be able to watch their child perform in the standing area at the side of the auditorium. If you are not a volunteer, once you drop your child off, they will remain backstage until "pick up" time at the end of the performances. Volunteers are also needed for hallway monitors, runners, ushers, hair and make-up, stage props, backstage, etc. Please let us know if you are interested.  

Gotta Dance JACKETS – Just $49 each! Jackets are black and made of a lightweight material (good for Spring/Fall) and will have a Gotta Dance logo on the back of the jacket (personalization not available).  There will be samples of the jacket sizes available to try on at the studio. We will be moving to these jackets next season for our Dance Teams, but they are not mandatory to purchase now, however, ANY dancer or parent can purchase one as well! Sizes are Youth Small, Medium, Large and XL and Adult Small, Medium, Large, XL and XXL (XL & XXL are $2.00 more - $51)

Payment with cash, check or Venmo (checks made payable to “Karrie Mason”). *Order forms are on the website under “Newsletters” (CLICK HERE FOR ORDER FORM) and there will be some at the studio - an order form should be left with payment information and can be put in the tuition box – if paying with cash, please request a receipt and if paying via Venmo, indicate the date the payment was transferred.*

Order Deadline:  Friday, April 15th

COSTUMES:  Costumes will be distributed as they arrive in April and May. Some costume balances have not been received. Balances are currently past due. Please make sure all balances are paid in full. Students will not receive their costumes until balances are paid. Costumes should be taken home and hung in a safe place. These costumes are irreplaceable and should not be worn or played with until after the performance. Costumes run in small, medium, large sizes and are not made to an exact order. Sizes were ordered that best fit the measurements taken earlier in the season.  Therefore, everyone should expect some slight alterations, tacking, stitching, hemming, etc. Please contact Karrie or Heather with any questions or concerns. A letter will be sent home with the May newsletter including important instructions regarding costumes, shoes, tights, hair, etc. 

REGISTRATION for Summer and Fall classes will be accepted once the schedule is releases at the end of April/early May. Please visit our website at www.ksgottadance.com or pick up a schedule at the studio.  The schedule is tentative, and some classes are subject to change. If this should happen after registering, you will be contacted immediately. For summer camps and classes, please fill out a registration form and enclose a $25.00 deposit to secure your spot. The balance will be due the first day of class. A registration fee is not required for summer classes.  For fall classes, please fill out a 2022/2023 registration form and be sure to enclose the $20.00 registration fee (If you have more than one child enrolling, please fill out a separate form for each child and enclose a $25.00 family registration fee). Anyone registering for an Acro class, please note that it is mandatory to enroll in at least one dance class. Due to the nature of the class and time spent learning Acro, teachers do not have time to teach basic dance steps. If the class is a combo class (an Acro/Jazz combo), it will not be mandatory to take an additional class. Registration forms will be available at the studio or online. Spots are limited, and certain classes tend to fill up quickly before our Summer Open Houses.

*Returning students are always encouraged to register at ticket day. 

Gotta Dance will be OPEN on Good Friday, April 15th & Saturday, April 16th,

but will be CLOSED for *ALL regular dance & Zumba classes for April school vacation week

Monday, April 18th – Saturday, April 23rd (*Friday make-up classes will be held on 4/22)
