Senior Classes at Gotta Dance!
Gotta Dance is pleased to be able to offer classes for Seniors starting in November! You do not have to be from the town of Chelmsford to enroll - all are welcome. Please respond to this email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call our studio (978-671-0400) with the classes you would like to attend, and we will fill the spots on a first come, first serve basis (emails and voicemails will be time stamped).
All classes will enroll on a monthly basis with enrollment for the following month given first to those currently enrolled in that class and then we will fill in open spots as they become available. Class size is limited to 12 for all classes in accordance with our Covid guidelines.
All classes are $5 per week, payable for the monthly session (either 3, 4 or 5 weeks as indicated next to the class). Payment must be made for the month and can be made by cash, check (payable to "Gotta Dance") or Venmo (to @Karrie-Mason-3) on or before the first class of each monthly session. No drop-in classes will be available.
All participants in classes will be required to fill out a registration form and follow our Covid guidelines which will include temperature check upon arrival for class, applying hand sanitizer before class and wearing a mask while participating in the class. The registration form will only have to be filled out once (even if taking more than one class) and will apply for all classes taken through June 2021.
Here is our schedule starting November 2, 2020:
Mondays 12:00 - 1:00 pm Chair Fitness with Katrina - November 2, 9, 16, 23, & 26 (5 week session) - $25.00
Chair Fitness is a full body workout concentrating on stretch, strength, and balance. In this class we will do some standing Cardio exercises and as well as exercises with Therabands and weights while sitting in a chair. All levels welcome. *Participants will need to bring their own weights and Therabands which can be purchased through Amazon, Target or Walmart.
Tuesdays 2:30 - 3:15 pm Zumba with Katrina - November 3, 10, 17 & 24 (4 week session) - $20.00
We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class. All levels welcome. *Participants should bring sneakers to wear in the studio.
Thursdays 12:00 - 12:45 pm Cardio Boost with Katrina - November 5, 12, & 19 (3 week session) - $15.00
This Cardio Boost exercise class combines cardio moves to enhance endurance and burn calories, strength training to define muscles and strengthen your core, and stretching to increase flexibility. Class begins with a warm-up and stretch, then a few cardio boost workouts, and ends with a hand weight routine and cool down. You will get a total body workout while blasting fat and having fun! *Participants should bring their own hand weights to class and should bring sneakers to wear into the studio.
Thursdays 1:30 - 2:30 pm Line Dance with Katrina - November 5, 12, & 19 (3 week session) - $15.00
Join other dancers and learn some fun Line Dances or just come for the great exercise. Our Line Dance classes are not just "Country Line Dancing". You’ll dance to great music of all the genres like Country, Top 40, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Blues, Funky, Latin, Irish, Swing and much more. You never need a partner but you can bring all your friends and have a lot of fun. Plus you get exercise without realizing you are actually exercising! *For this class, some line dance experience is preferred, but not necessary. **Participants should wear comfortable tie shoes to class.
Thursdays 2:45 - 3:30 pm Tap for Beginners with Katrina - November 5, 12, & 19 (no class 11/26 for Thanksgiving) (3 week session) - $15.00
Lets make some noise! This beginner tap class will teach the coordination of making rhythmic music with your feet. This class will consist of learning basic tap steps and terminology while learning to understand more about music and its rhythm. *Participants will need to bring their own Tap shoes to class - we recommend Damien's Dancewear in Chelmsford for dance shoes.
Fridays 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Line Dance for Beginners with Heather - November 6, 13, 20 & 27 (4 week session) - $20.00
Join other dancers and learn some fun Line Dances or just come for the great exercise. Our Line Dance classes are not just "Country Line Dancing". You’ll dance to great music of all the genres like Country, Top 40, Hip Hop, Ballroom, Blues, Funky, Latin, Irish, Swing and much more. You never need a partner but you can bring all your friends and have a lot of fun. Plus you get exercise without realizing you are actually exercising! For this class, no line dance experience is necessary and all dances will be at a beginner level. *Participants should wear comfortable tie shoes to class.
